Guide to Cigar Ring Gauges

The width or thickness of a cigar is measured in Ring Gauge. But many of us wonder, what exactly is a ring gauge? We know a 60-gauge cigar is pretty wide, whereas a 38-gauge is pretty narrow. But do we every stop and think of measuring cigars to figure out the exact thickness? This handy chart should help you do so, in figuring out how to convert Cigar Ring Gauge to Inches and Cigar Ring Gauge to Millimeters. This is very handy should you have a customized cigar but no Cigar Ring Gauge tool. To state width in more mathematical terms, it is the diameter across the round circle that makes up the ring gauge of the cigar (assuming the cigar is indeed round).
